Greece The single pan-European emergency number 112 is operational in Greece, but it is not the only emergency number in use. It co-exists with 100 for police, 166 for ambulance services and 199 for fire. Both the level 1 and level 2 PSAPs are organised on a national level, but their exact numbers are not known.
As the system overview illustrates below, Greece is currently capable of receiving and handling E112 calls. The network pushes the location information to the level 1 PSAP, where it is mainly used to route the call to the appropriate level 2 PSAP that sets up a voice connection with the emergency service vehicle.
