United Kingdom The single pan-European emergency number 112 is operational and exists along with the 999 emergency call number in the UK. There are two 1st level PSAPs organised nationally and privately and approximately 150 2nd level PSAPs organised nationally and locally.
As the system overview illustrates below, the UK is currently capable of receiving and handling E112 calls. The accident location information is pulled by the PSAP from the network and is available at both level PSAPs and the emergency service vehicle; in which it is used to generate a map.
