Meeting with Insurance Companies on 25 May 2005

The European Commission, representatives from the DG eCall and from different Insurance Companies met for the first time in Brussels on May 25 2005 for an informal meeting related to eCall.

The objectives of the meeting were to involve the insurance industry in the development of eCall by specifically identifying their interest in eCall. As a result the Insurance Companies represented agreed on an additional meeting where different Insurance Companies will present their innovative activities within vehicle insurance.

The next meeting will take place on 6 July 2005 in Brussels, at the European Commission.
