Jan Malenstein, National Police Agency The Netherlands

After the Police Academy and the Police Traffic Academy he worked as a patrol officer in several functions. As a senior police officer he was a supervisor in the Central Dispatch Room of the National Police and the national 112 centre.  He chaired the EC's co-ordination group on access to location information for Emergency Services on implementing location information for enhanced 112.

He was a member of the E-safety High level Public Authorities group, the European e-Call Working group and the eCall Driving Group. Within the eCall Driving Group, he chaired a forum of EU 112 centres that drafted the functional specifications on eCall for the 112 centres and performance indicators for eCall.

He is a member of the Expert Group on Emergency Access of the European Commission.

Currently, he is senior advisor of the Netherlands's National Police Agency, his rank is Chief Inspector.
