eSafety Forum High Level Meeting, 3 February 2005

The eSafety Forum organised a High-Level meeting with key industry representatives on 3 February 2005.
This very successful meeting was chaired by the Director General of Information Society and Media, Mr. Fabio Colasanti, and was attended by over 70 persons representing the main industry sectors, users, the Member States, the European Parliament and the European Commission. Ms. Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media, opened the meeting.

The meeting discussed the progress achieved so far in the eSafety initiative, and in particular, the way forward in the roll-out of the pan-European eCall. It also made a number of recommendations on the next steps and the continuation of the eSafety initiative.
