“Workshop: User benefits drive the market" and eSafety Awards Ceremony

Based on a reliable cost/benefit analysis, clear business cases can be developed in order to drive the correct decisions on investments in eSafety systems. Incentives and promotional campaigns should also support the deployment of the systems by raising awareness and understanding of eSafety systems and by helping the customer in their choice of purchasing the systems.

Market demand is expected to take up through raising awareness and understanding of the benefits of eSafety systems and supporting the customer in their choice when purchasing such systems. In other words, as long as the deployment of eSafety systems is driven by market forces, no action for mandatory regulation is required.

In this context, the Implementation Road Maps Working Group together with eSafety Support decided to organise a workshop "User benefits drives the market" for all stakeholders involved in the deployment and evaluation of eSafety systems in order to disseminate recent information about the benefits of the eSafety systems and to discuss how this information should be utilised at best. During the workshop, researchers will highlight the results from the latest assessments of the systems.

The workshop calls for active involvement of the participants via an interactive voting system, whereby the audience will be able to express views on the key issues and discuss the different topics, such as user awareness, marketing, dealer training, incentives, fleet owners and infrastructure operators.

The results of the workshop will be used by the eSafety Forum in their activities to accelerate the deployment of the eSafety systems in Europe and thereby to bring the benefits to as many users as possible.

The workshop is open to everyone. However, the number of available places is limited and the registration policy will follow a first-come first-served policy.
