EU-India - Cooperation between Europe and India on eSafety

Objectives

The overall objectives of the EU-India project are to:

• Enhance road safety and sustainable mobility in India through implementation of eSafety systems and services
• Establish a consortium of European and Indian ITS experts from the industry, research sector and public authorities
• Integrate European and Indian research communities to exchange experience and technology development
• Develop cooperation for targeted ITS development potentially in fields such as: integrated traffic management systems, Electronic Toll Collection, Location-Based Services, Traffic Message Channel and public transport management

The EU-India project was completed in May 2007
