AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety
The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety is a not-for-profit, publicly supported charitable educational and research organization. Since 1947, the Foundation has funded over 80 research projects designed to discover the causes of traffic crashes. It has used its research to develop dozens of focused, high-impact educational materials for drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists and other road users.

 

ABI Research
From understanding technology change in microprocessors to how hybrid vehicles and 42-volt systems will change the game, ABI Research's core offerings provide insight into many aspects of the market. Core level systems such as X-By-Wire, engine management systems, vehicle safety systems, and in-vehicle networks (wired and wireless) are explored in detail. Emerging in-vehicle communication protocols such as MOST, 1394, FlexRay and TTP are an integral part of ABI Research's analysis.

Although located in the US, Drive and Stay Alive Inc. is a signatory to the European Road Safety Charter.

 

FIA European Bureau

provides representation to FIA’s European member Clubs within the European Institutions. The work of the bureau, guided by the Clubs, consists of monitoring the work of the institutions, developing common platforms for the work of the Clubs, developing and maintaining relations with staff in the institutions, and ensuring that FIA’s message is heard in Brussels and Strasbourg. Additionally, the bureau also engages in a number of programmes and projects, such as EuroTest, EuroTAP and eSafety Support which further the interests and goals of FIA’s members.

GRSP Global Road Safety Partnership
The Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) is an informal partnership of private sector, civil society, government and bi-/multilateral development organisations with the mission of reducing deaths, injuries, disabilities and associated social costs of road traffic crashes through partnerships, which promote collaboration, and coordination of road safety activities among partners for the benefit of the most vulnerable.

IFRTD is a global network of people and organisations interested in promoting a broader approach to meeting the transport needs of rural people.

 

International Road Federation
The International Road Federation is a not-for-profit, non-political service organisation. with the purpose and continuing objective of encouraging better road and transport systems worldwide. It also aims to help apply technology and management practises which will give maximum economic and social returns from national road investments.

OECD
Every day, thousands are injured and almost 350 people are killed on the roads of OECD countries. OECD has produced a report that evaluates the global impact of new road safety technologies and provides recommendations to governments and industry to assist all countries in achieving a common aim: saving lives.

 

ROADWISE
An example of a public outreach programme in Northern Ireland, Roadwise is an initiative driven by companies and organisations dedicated to reducing the road death toll by educating and incentivising people to become safer drivers.

 

Transportation Research Board
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) is a unit of the UK's National Research Council, a private, non-profit institution that is the principal operating agency of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering. The Board’s mission is to promote innovation and progress in transportation by stimulating and conducting research, facilitating the dissemination of information, and encouraging the implementation of research results.

 

UN Institute for Traffic Care
The organisation has as goal the achievement of a structural development and implementation of road safety activities in order to realise a positive behavioural influence of road users. This is done by accumulating existing and future road safety expertise and by making use of its available networks.

 

United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, UN/ECE
UN/ECE is one of five regional commissions of the United Nations with the primary goal of encouraging greater economic cooperation among its 55 Member States.

Forum for the interchange of ideas among transportation researchers, managers, policy makers, and educators from all over the world.

 

 World Road Safety Network
The members of the Network have committed themselves to invest their energy, knowledge and influence to improve road safety throughout the world especially in developing countries. By working together in partnership, members will increase political and public awareness across the world. The network will support and encourage the delivery of the enforcement-led road safety programmes.
