eCall MoU status update 2008


Creation date: 16 March 2009


At the end of 2008 the MoU had been signed by fourteen Member States ( Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden) and three Associated States (Iceland, Norway, Switzerland), while the procedure for the signature has been started in other countries with different status of advancement. Moreover, positive progress has been observed and countries like Belgium, Luxembourg, Estonia, Romania, Poland and Hungary, who have also announced their intention to sign.


10 more industrial stakeholders have also added their commitment in 2008:

• Vodafone (May)

• Altea (June)

• Europ Assitance Holding SA (July)

• Ficosa (October)
