eIMPACT workshop to discuss Intelligent Vehicle Safety Systems deployment

Creation date: 25 January 2008

Event in Utrecht, The Netherlands to gather feedback and ideas on implementation strategies.

eSafety stakeholders are invited to participate in the EC-funded eIMPACT project’s stakeholder workshop, 26 February in Utrecht, The Netherlands. eIMPACT assesses the socio-economic effects of Intelligent Vehicle Safety Systems (IVSS) and their impact on traffic, safety and efficiency. It also addresses policy options and the views of the different stakeholders involved in deploying IVSS.

The workshop aims to bring together all relevant stakeholders in the field of stand-alone and co-operative IVSS in Europe. The results of the project will be presented and feedback from the attendees will be asked. The main focus will be on instruments for deployment of IVSS and how to arrive at commonly accepted implementation strategies.

The event will be moderated by Professor Risto Kulmala of VTT, co-chair of the eSafety Forum’s Implementation Road Maps Working Group.

Participation is free of charge.
